This tiny hatchling box turtle was found wandering around my backyard by my mom (of all people). It is quite a nice surprise to see one this small. That means that box turtles are breeding in the area.
    If you remember, there is a Three-toed box turtle living in my backyard as well and this could very well be a hybrid between the three-toed and an eastern box turtle.
    Whatever the case is, it is always cool to see hatchlings.
