This is the first live copperhead we have seen all year... and it is September!
It's about time!
Also, we have been slack on making videos recently so it is about time we made a new one.

     This video was actually quite an easy one. We decided to cruise the road we usually hit when herping and within the first 5 minutes we found the watersnake. They are a very common sight at this location so we turned it loose and hiked up to the top of the bluff line.
    Not much was moving in the forest and by time we came back down it was getting dark. We packed up and were headed home when we got lucky and saw the copperhead corssing the road. turned out to be a decent trip if only for the copperhead.
    The toad was an after thought really. We saw him when we were pulling back up to my house in his usual spot and thought it would be a nice thing to show everybody.
