  •      Recently I layed some tin around the outside of an abandone barn at a location that we frequent in hopes that it would draw some racers and prairie kingsnakes. About a month later we decided to check the site to see if it was working and got a surprise! No kings or racers, but we did find a ring-necked snake. Despite how often we find ring-necks, this one was extra special. I was actually the first ring-neck we have ever seen at this location, and this is a place I have been frequenting for about 18 years.

One more species to knock off of the list for that location!
