Lots of new stuff! New HWD video in the videos section, new plant profiles in the wildflower section, and lots of new photos. It has been a hot dry summer and herping is not easy. We have been spending a lot of time working on putting together a trip to AZ in August, so we are very excited. Should be some more new stuff coming soon. I have at least 2 more videos shot. I just need to edit and upload them.

New HWD video up! Be sure to watch it in High Definition! We recently purchased a new camera and our videos are looking better than ever. We've been busy with a billion different things recently and have not had a lot of time to give the web site the attention it deserves. That is why the updates have been lacking recently. We are now armed with a new camera and some free time, so videos and photos should start rolling in a bit more regularly.
Also I added a new link in the "Links" section to a website called Small Scale Films. Very cool group of people doing documentary work on herps. Check out this video:

Lots of updates today! New species profiles for red-bellied snake, long-tailed salamander, slender glass lizard, and smooth earthsnake as well as lots of new wildflower species added. Lots of photos added to the galleries of several different species too.
In addition to the photo updates the video section got an overhaul to make it a bit more streamlined.

I finally finished the wildflower section of the site! I will be adding a lot more species to the list soon. All of the spring wildflowers here in Illinois and Missouri are just about to bloom, so there will be a flood of pictures. With this site update also comes a slew of new pictures for the other sections of the site. Lesser Siren, Ring-necked, Eastern Newt, and more all got pictures added. Also, the first 24hr Herping Competiton just took place and it was great! Thanks to everyone who participated. We will have another one soon!
In other news I managed to break the entire news section! So I just erased it all and started over. I'll try to not break it with every update I do, but I can't make any promises. No one reads this anyway so I am not sure why I care.
